The NASA Mishap Information System (NMIS) is a custom-developed system for capturing mishaps, close calls and hazards, as required in NASA Procedural Requirement 8621.1C, NASA Procedural Requirements for Mishap and Close Call Reporting, Investigating, and Recordkeeping. The NMIS Mobile Dashboard app provides an at-a-glance view of Agency safety event and injury statistics. Users can view daily event summaries, status of high visibility events, year to date injury and damage event counts as well as OSHA total case rate calculations, by Center, for combined NASA civil servants and support service contractors.
